東京を拠点に活動するDJ / セレクターのFUによるレジデントパーティー『SIREN OF SOUL』NYのハウスシーンを代表する次世代デュオmusclecarsが満を時して登場！

3月にデトロイトからLADYMONIXを迎え大盛況に終わったSIREN OF SOUL。第二回目の開催はNYからモダンハウスシーンを代表するアーティストmusclecarsをゲストに迎える。ジャズやディープな要素、シネマティックなムードを独自のスタイルで融合させ、Mixmagからは「年間最注目プロデューサーの一組」として賞賛される2人。メインステージにはレジデントのFUを始め、CYKのNari、Ella Recordsに所属するLilyなども登場。自身のルーツや先人たちの豊かな音楽的遺産を保存・讃え、同時に仲間たちにインスピレーションを与え続けている彼らと、日本を代表する次世代のハウスDJたちが邂逅。

Resident party SIREN OF SOUL by Tokyo-based DJ/selector FU returns for its second edition, welcoming New York’s rising house duo musclecars.

After a successful night with Detroit’s LADYMONIX back in March, this edition spotlights musclecars – praised by Mixmag as “one of the year’s most exciting producers”- known for blending jazz, deep grooves, and cinematic moods into a modern sound. Sharing the stage with FU are CYK’s Nari, Lily (Ella Records), LB3 and more.

Honoring their roots while inspiring new communities, musclecars join Japan’s next wave of house DJs for a night of soulful connection and forward movement.

ニューヨーク出身のmusclecars(マッスルカーズ)は、Brandon WeemsとCraig HandfieldによるDJ / プロデューサーデュオ。クラシックかつソウルフルなダンスミュージックへのリスペクトを持ちながら、ジャズやディープな要素、シネマティックなムードを独自のスタイルで融合させている。音楽を通じて人々をつなげるという信念のもと、活動の場を世界中に広げ、Rolling Stone、Billboard、DJ Mag、Resident Advisorなどのメディアで取り上げられ、Mixmagからは「年間最注目プロデューサーの一組」として賞賛されると共に、高評価を得たミックスや複数の優れたリリースを通して、彼らは世界的アンダーグラウンドシーンにおける新たな勢力として台頭している。2018年には、ニューヨークのナイトライフ文化を豊かにすることを目的に、自身のパーティ「Coloring Lessons」を立ち上げた。ジャンルに縛られることなく、ハウス、ディスコ、ジャズ、ソウル、そしてそれを超えた音楽を自由に行き来しながら、音楽的先人たちのサウンドに敬意を捧げ、The Paradise Garage、The Loft、Body & Soul、Shelterといった名クラブを生んだニューヨークのダンスミュージック史にインスパイアされたこのパーティは、そのスピリットを次世代に継承することを目指している。現在、Coloring Lessonsは、単なるパーティにとどまらず、レコードレーベル、教育プログラム、ラジオ番組、ミックスシリーズなどを含む多面的なプラットフォームへと進化。これらの取り組みを通じて、ニューヨーク内外のアーティストをサポートしつつ、自身のルーツや先人たちの豊かな音楽的遺産を保存・讃え、同時に仲間たちにインスピレーションを与え、若い世代へこの時代を超えた音楽の源流を伝え続けている。

Native to New York, musclecars is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. As musicians, they nod to great classic and soulful dance music while adding their unique twist of transcendental jazz, deep elements, and cinematic moods. Rooted in community, their mission to unite people through music has taken them worldwide, earning recognition in Rolling Stone, Billboard, DJ Mag, and Resident Advisor, with Mixmag even naming them one of the producers of the year. With acclaimed mixes and multiple outstanding releases, they are a rising force in the global underground scene.

In 2018, they launched Coloring Lessons, a party designed to enrich their city’s nightlife culture. Free of strict genres, it flows effortlessly through house, disco, jazz, soul, and beyond honoring the sounds of their Black and Brown predecessors. Inspired by their city’s incomparable dance music history, from The Paradise Garage and The Loft to Body & Soul and Shelter, the party seeks to push that spirit forward, sharing its rhythms and legacy with a new generation.

Today, Coloring Lessons has evolved into a multifaceted platform encompassing not only the party but also a record label, educational series, radio show, and mix series. Together, these ventures uplift artists from their city and beyond while preserving and celebrating the rich musical heritage of their forebears, inspiring peers, and educating younger generations about the roots of this timeless sound.
